UNLOCKING YOUR CREATIVE DESIRES

Vol. 9

Everything about us, everything about our spiritual paths is unique. My main focus within my life and my spiritual journey has always been to live in abundance with my desires and live a more heart centred life - and to be prosperous within these choices. In my understanding, this focus allows me to be in my power and then to inspire those around me to do the same and go after their own version of abundance and prosperity in a way that is true to their own lives. Supporting others is one of my many secrets in manifestation and this week, I was asked by Alessia and a few others of you in the community how exactly I bring all of my ideas down to Earth. And while I have talked about manifestation before, I haven’t really shared my own personal process. I usually opt not to curate a particular process but help others unravel their ideas within my Private Sessions but then I remind myself that this is the reason I created this platform: to get down and gritty with all of you and share these exclusive insights!

When we think of creativity, we most often think of the arts and things that we do with our hands. But what we don’t realise is that creativity is actually the art of manifestation: it’s allowing a thought to become a thing, it’s allowing something to be pulled down from the ethers, from our higher superconscious minds and then engaging in a series of actions to allow it to be formed within some sort of reality (medium).

The dynamics between masculine and feminine, of which we have the polarities of both, are also part of the creative process. The masculine energy is the leaning forward motion, that vital energy of domination and command. The feminine energy on the other hand encourages us to lean back in order to allow things to come to us. Whenever I talk about the feminine leaning back and waiting for things to come, I often feel that people get the wrong idea. In our society, we are very familiar with the masculine but not so much with the feminine. The “lean back and attract doesn’t mean that you sit back on your couch looking like Lady Luxe, with your silk robes on and feeding yourself cherries while watching a Netflix series and expecting all of your dreams to come knocking at your door and delivered on a silver platter (as glamorous as that sounds!). The feminine consists of building the radiance that we have so you can become a magnet for your desires.

Most of us are probably familiar with The Secret, either having watched the movie or read the books. The main idea running through that body of work is: the energy you put out is usually the energy that you get back. So, for example, if you wake up and say that you are going to have a really terrible day, you are most likely going to meet the day at that level and have a really terrible day. And very simply, if you wake up feeling grateful and blessed for the day that you are about to experience, you will have a much better day (not to say that it will be easy sailing, but you will meet the challenges with a much more open mind). The energy that we put out is what we are going to get back - the Law of Attraction is based on our inner reality and we build that inner reality by enhancing our relationship to the feminine energy and feeling good and confident and trusting of ourselves.

Part of the process of manifestation is that an idea will repeat itself and keep showing up in our lives. When you’re doing the same thing day in and day, it can often be difficult to notice a pattern but this is what ritual is for: a moment of pause to allow everything that isn’t serving you to be washed away so that you can get perspective and see life more clearly. It is what I help women do in each of my Private Sessions because for some, there comes a point where we are forced to sit down with ourselves because continuing on the same road just isn’t an option anymore.

And so, this leads me to the essence of my process of manifestation.

CONSCIOUS COMMUNICATION

Something that I was writing this morning when thinking about how to answer this question is: one of my greatest gifts is the gift of communication. I have a knack of making sense of things whether that be with myself or in a group of people trying to explain something abstract. And I am very aware of it – I’ve always been really great at communication and it is what I have found has given me (and now you) the edge to really getting what I want. Even before The Ritual, when I had Sat Nam Institute, people used to come to my Kundalini Yoga classes, my workshops and New Moon Rituals and would express to me that they felt a difference in their experience with my way of teaching. And this is not to write anyone else off, but there was something different in the way my offerings were delivered. And rather than completely shrugging it off, or allowing my ego to be overtaken with flattery, I became curious and asked why and how (being in the thick of it, I wanted to understand more fully the way my delivery was being perceived and received). It was through this curiosity that I got to know myself further and to begin to understand my ability.

Communication, in the form of writing and speaking have been and remain integral parts of my ritual and practice and thus my own healing. Over the years, I am always reminded how integral communication can be. I can be having a conversation with someone that I feel safe and trusted around and without even knowing what we are going to talk about, I allow myself to listen to the prompts within and around me and receive the greatest creative downloads that open up spaces, ideas, and ultimately refine and inspire my life. When I am aware and listen to those little whispers that come into my ear: write those love letters, make that exclusive dress, continue baking those specialty cakes or savoury snacks, create that beautiful coffee table book… whatever that idea might be for you), I am practising conscious communication. Rather than speaking for the sake of speaking, I am speaking to allow the energy to move through the body, allowing myself to tap into different aspects of the mind: subconscious and superconscious, so that I can speak and refine what wants to come through. This gift is the reason I often find myself needing to update the copy on my website. There is always a similar thread running through the things I say but I allow it to evolve and be expressed using different words and language and this enables me to see and understand it from multiple perspectives.

The way I find answers is through communication. Communication is the way I was able to manifest completely bonkers, crazy stuff! You guys see what I have been doing! And I am always all the more impressed knowing I’ve done it all myself.

DEEP TRUST

When you have an idea, it’s very easy to get caught up in the who’s, what’s, why’s and the how’s… The doubts cause the ideas to disappear, to run away, to seek refuge in someone else. But when I have an idea, I know that if it has been able to enter my mind, then I can create it. I get so many ideas (every minute in fact, it’s exhausting being me, trust me!) but I don’t run off with every one that I get. If I think it’s a great idea, I don’t ignore it but write it down in the Notes App, my MacBook or in my journal and I let it sit there for a few days to marinate for a while. If I notice that it comes back to me in different ways (each time more fully fledged and refined) then I acknowledge that I should pursue it.

You don’t want to act on any idea that comes up only once. It has to be an idea that keeps recurring. If you see somebody else doing some variation of what you wanted to do, then it’s a sign too: it’s showing you that there is a need and demand for that thing and that other people are thinking about it too. It absolutely doesn’t mean you can’t do it, it just means that there is a market for you to do what you want to do in a way that is unique to you. Because, no one has the same version of reality and so by that token, the offering, the product, the idea will always be different. Our experience of spirituality, of art, of a book, of what someone said, of life… will always be different to someone else’s because no one ever sees or experiences things in the same way as a person standing next to them. We could all be sitting in the same room but we will all have a different experience of what is going on. We all know that when there are multiple witnesses to a crime or a major event, every witness has a slightly different variation of what they saw. Even our reading of this piece and these steps I outlined will be understood differently to each of you. It’s impossible for anyone to see the same version of reality and so every idea is unique to you.

The fact that it keeps repeating itself to you, that it keeps slapping you in the face, means that this thought is ready to become a thing.

DEEPENING THE RELATIONSHIP

When you settle on the idea, you then have to act on it. The action, the things that we physically do after we have manifested the thought by writing it down, are vital for it to become a reality. This is the masculine coming to meet the feminine. It is what allows that thought to manifest into some form of reality. The doing comes from the way that we speak to the people around us, the way that we communicate within our relationships.

I have recently realised that everything that I do is about relationships: relationships to the natural world, relationships to each other, relationships with ourselves, relationships with our past, relationships to food, with The Goddess, the Divine, our life work and career paths, relationships with our desires and our passions, the things that matter to us: ideals, aesthetics… All of these relationships are the way that we relate to something or someone.

The way that we treat all of those things that I’ve just mentioned (and so many more) affects how we are able to manifest something and how we are able to create. The manifestation is the thing coming from the thought into the physical realm. And that is where creativity has to step in. A manifestation hasn’t manifested itself completely until the creativity is flowing through it. And creativity is your energy: the energy that you pour into something.

The teaching is better understood if we think about a mother tending to a newborn baby. A mother will do anything and everything in her power to ensure that the child feels safe, cared for, nurtured, loved and calm… And this is what is really important. We can replace the baby with a new idea that you want to manifest. We have to nurture it, we have to put it in safe environments, we have to speak kind words to it ( and not gossip or complain about life and situations and people that have wronged you or you’re literally going to be severing any manifestation that can come to you). Except for that which is out of your control, everything within your control must be controlled to ensure that this idea feels safe.

Start to see your idea or creation in its final form: the book in a bookshop, you walking confidently into your new position, you receiving the prestigious award for your acting… see that thing being complete. And each time you reconnect with it, you will notice that the final product changes a bit each time – it starts to refine: the content of the book, the cover, the font, what you’re wearing to receive the accolades… the intention starts to shift because you are continually designing it. Creativity becomes that thing that we mould and sculpt into a masterpiece. Your vision has to be touched and caressed, cared for, loved and respected. The nurturing feminine presence guiding all that you do. Your visions need to become a sensual experience all in their own right.

I am now working on a new, very exclusive collection of items. Once I knew that this idea wanted to become a reality, I went into the creative realm of naming this collection. And this was done by communicating and tuning into the sensations that I wanted to evoke. To do this, I would take inspiration from everywhere, food, coffee table books, music… And in doing so, in sitting with myself and acting on the things that spoke to me, I was creating a visual journey around this new collection that will showcase the experience I have and want these products to evoke (I know I am being vague, but you will be the first to know right before it all goes live!).

When you run your own business, you often have to, as my lawyer calls it, do a clean sweep of everything. But this is different from taking note of what others are doing and comparing what you create as similar to what someone else is putting forward. When you’re in this creative process, it’s about seeing ways to refine the idea, to bring more clarity to it, to understand it more fully. This is all the better if you have people that you can bounce things off of but I don’t often recommend these be your friends, but more so mentors. The reason being is because, most of the time, it doesn’t end well as someone is projecting their insecurity around your creativity or idea or may plan to sweep it away from you, or they may not feel secure enough to support you at all. You are all more than welcome to share things with me through my Private Sessions, not only because I have the background but because my goal is not to give people ideas, but to uncover the fog and uncover the individually unique gifts that want to come through that you might have overlooked due to stress or other burdens. In my practice, I usually share things with my husband but it’s only once I’ve gotten to the halfway point of where money needs to be put in. So, going back to the new born baby analogy, you have to hold on to your idea and not just hand it off to anyone. It has to be nurtured and cared for by you, developing that deep and trusting relationship that can allow it to grow and unfold healthily, confidently, and beautifully.

We have this feeling of awareness in our body and from this feeling we let go of doubt and allow ideas to flow through us. This desire becomes the light, the ember, the spark that lights. When we show it that we are listening to it, we ignite the flame further and with this comes clarity and honesty and once we have those things, we are able to partake in our own unique divine dance in creativity and creation. All while reminding ourselves that our relationship and the projection that we put out into the world will either nurture or squash our desire. So choosing to speak your truth, to be kind and to not react to other people’s shitty behaviour and not complaining about what someone else has, nurtures the flame, blocks out the noise and doubt, and allows the idea to flourish.

So to summarise, when you sit down to refine your idea, you are feeding the fire and giving it more resources because it is up to us to shine our own creative genius, our own unique light, to create our own unique dance. And what we hold within our heart and what we hold with our tongue is how we attract and create. So choose the words that you speak wisely. Be authentic. Have integrity. Refine yourself and in doing so refine the way you meet life.

In Love,

Brooke
