INVITING THE GODDESS

VOL.26

FIRST MEETINGS

My practices revolve around discovering empowerment, wisdom and clarity through acts of humility, beauty and reverence. These key acts and feelings help me to find strength and courage and connect with the majesty within. My life is structured in such a way that I consistently create space for the Goddess. In truth, the presence of the Goddess is perpetually embraced within my ritual sanctuary and extends graciously into every facet of my life.

There is so much to be desired from the deities as ethereal beings that are called forth to help make our desires manifest. In fact, connecting with a goddess or deity was not uncommon and before we were told to worship one god, we worshipped many. I feel that there has always been a fascination among people and the idea of gods and goddess, and these beliefs were not just found within Greek, Roman and Egyptian cultures but among Indigenous, First Nations people as well. Although we are more familiar with those of Ancient Greece, Rome and Egypt, we can also see the Earth as Goddess. In the present day, and particularly over recent years, this intrigue has become more evident through the widespread availability of information. However, as is often the case with phenomena (and that which is trending) that swiftly capture the attention of popular culture, there's a tendency for things to veer to extremes. These time-honoured practices can sometimes be oversimplified or commercialised to align with marketing strategies. Hence, I step forward to offer my perspective.

Just as the Earth provides sustenance, life, and beauty, so too do the goddesses represent a multifaceted expression of creation and existence.

The concept of the Goddess as the Earth is a timeless understanding that recognises the divine feminine as the very essence of creation itself. This ancient belief perceives the Earth as a living, breathing entity, embodying the nurturing, regenerative, and powerful qualities often associated with goddess archetypes. Just as the Earth provides sustenance, life, and beauty, so too do the goddesses represent a multifaceted expression of creation and existence.

For instance, in times of struggle, the nurturing embrace of a mother goddess archetype can offer a sense of reassurance and protection, akin to the Earth cradling all life. In moments of transformation, a warrior goddess archetype can provide strength and courage, mirroring the Earth’s unyielding spirit in the face of change. The wisdom of a crone goddess archetype can guide women through life's complexities, akin to the Earth's enduring wisdom accumulated over aeons.

Sadly, a lot of us (myself included) do not have positive female role models and turning to the expressions of the feminine such as the Goddess and the Archetypes we find in history lend us a window of connection and understanding, faces and names I can relate to over the course of my life and find greater meaning.

By peering through the lens of history, we glimpse the multifaceted tapestry of our own identity. We witness how different goddess archetypes embody qualities we may resonate with, allowing us to embrace and understand our own strengths and vulnerabilities. The stories of goddesses who faced challenges, overcame obstacles, and revealed in their uniqueness empowers us to do the same.

Ultimately, connecting with the goddess as the Earth and exploring various goddess archetypes enables women to uncover a deep well of wisdom, resilience, and empowerment within themselves. By recognising the reflections of creation and the divine feminine in these multifaceted forms, women can navigate life's journey with a renewed sense of purpose, comfort, and solace. Just as the Earth sustains and nurtures all life, so too do the goddesses guide and support us, reminding us of our innate connection to the intricate web of existence.

Connecting with the goddess as the Earth and exploring various goddess archetypes enables women to uncover a deep well of wisdom, resilience, and empowerment within themselves.

The journey into motherhood marked an extraordinary shift and pivotal moment in my life. It was here that I recognised the need to embrace a less masculine-driven approach. This phase illuminated my understanding of Women as diverse manifestations of the Goddess, embodying the role of vessels for creation.

As women, we form one continuous circle, no beginning and no end. We are the ovum, the very essence of creation itself. With one foot poised between realms, we possess a unique access to a repository of blueprints above, an expansive library of possibilities. Picture a vast celestial library, a treasure trove of maps and plans accessible to all of us. This shared repository is accessible to every woman. You can draw inspiration, as if plucking from the ethers above, weaving it into our physical existence to craft your reality.

We are spiritual beings experiencing a human journey. Our ability to manifest and shape our desires knows no bounds. We, as deeply capable and intuitive beings, have historically posed a formidable challenge in more recent times. Once honoured and respected as wise women, elders, priestesses, and leaders, our profound creative prowess became threatening. Subsequently, we faced suppression and oppression, our rights and power were gradually stripped away over centuries. Even now, we strive to reclaim these rights.

Our yearning transcends mere equality; we seek equanimity for all. The responsibility falls on each of us to reclaim our inherent vastness, the potent force of creation coursing through our veins with every heartbeat. Ancient narratives serve as reminders of our divine essence. Many of the rituals I scribe and creations I bring to life arise spontaneously, flowing through me via acts of thought and playful spontaneity. While I could ponder the origins of these fleeting thoughts or the channels of knowledge, I choose to embrace and act upon them. Ignoring these blueprints would result in their migration back to the source and pass on to another woman. Hence, the art of selection takes precedence.

The ability to give life to ideas and nurture them is innate, but nurturing an entire realm of ideas would deplete our life force, even our breath. Instead, we hold an idea briefly, aligning it with our direction and desires. This is where the support of specific deities and goddesses becomes invaluable. Harnessing their energies allows the wisdom of millennia to guide us, offering prompts to navigate our plans, dreams, and aspirations.

In this dance of existence, we embody an eternal cycle, embracing the legacy of creation and our shared role as catalysts of transformation. Our link to the divine feminine, steeped in history, grants us the power to shape reality, and our communion with timeless archetypes propels us forward with grace and purpose.

The journey toward having everything that we desire is in knowing ourselves; knowing who we are enables us to know what we want. In this way, we can become clear on the energy and the qualities that we want to embody in order to obtain what we desire.

I have often found that turning to Archetypes and Goddesses is one way that we can see our power mirrored back to us, enabling us to get clear and navigate from a place of knowing.

With so many Goddesses embodying different qualities, it just goes to show us how vast we are as women. If we need something, there’s a Goddess and stories associated with her that we can call upon. It is a reminder that we are never alone in doing something. That we might embody the support, strength and resilience of a specific deity gives us the strength and courage to go forward, as she did, to forge our own path with the legions of feminine wisdom to cheer us on.

I will be diving deep into the Goddesses as we prepare to launch a very special collection. This collection is one that I have had in the works for some time and I am delighted to share it with you soon. I am also preparing a series of workshops for this community, Behind the Veil about the goddess and how to connect with her. I have found so much of my passion through the goddesses and it is my honour to share my knowledge of them with all of you.

The journey into the realm of goddesses and archetypes is a profound odyssey of self-discovery and empowerment. As we embrace the divine feminine within and around us, we tap into an unending well of wisdom and grace that guides us through the ever-changing tides of life.

Let the stories of these timeless beings inspire you, embolden you, and remind you of your innate strength. Together, we embark on a transformative voyage, drawing from the wellspring of ancient wisdom to craft a present and future imbued with beauty, resilience, and purpose.

As we walk this path, hand in hand, may the embrace of the goddess continue to illuminate your way, lighting the path to a life lived authentically, passionately, and harmoniously.

So much love,

Brooke x
